I AM Programme!
Are you a young person living in London? Are you passionate about Equality, Diversity & Inclusion?
Working in collaboration with Verizon Foundation, the I Am programme is aimed to help young people explore and design a social action campaign to address a current issue within their societal context. Celebrating all our differences, you can address anything from racial injustice, LGBTQIA+ rights to mental health & wellbeing. However you wish to enact change, this programme will give you the opportunity to do so!
The programme has a total of 6 sessions which take place over four weekends from 18th February to 25th March at the Unloc Changemaker Studios in Maida Vale, London. We start the programme with an immersive and fun activity day, followed by a team lunch. Over the following few sessions, you will meet like-minded individuals to begin exploring and designing a campaign to address a current issue within your societal context. These weekends will also include EDI and racial justice workshops; sessions with guest speakers and activists, campaigning masterclasses, and fun, interactive sessions, thereby enabling you to better understand power and influence in your communities and make lasting change!
