Leadership Styles

Kurt Lewin, a psychologist and one of the modern pioneers of social, organisational, and applied psychology, identified three basic leadership styles

Authoritarian or Autocratic

  • Leader controls all the decisions
  • Makes choices/decisions based on own beliefs
  • Little input from other group members
  • Does not involve others for their suggestions or advice
