RCE Making Change Stick action

MAKING CHANGE STICK – REGISTRATIONS OPEN (FREE)
“One hears more frequently now of parents banding together, finding teachers, and starting little schools… There are no signs that a [Free School] movement exists, but there are many signs that one might…”
Uniting for Children and Youth (UCY) is organizing an action-oriented initiative within the Rights-Centric Education Network (RCE) to define how to tackle the problem revealed by George Dennison’s 1969 quote.
The sessions will revolve around two books: Making Change Stick, by James Mannion, and The Agentic Schools Manifesto, by Don Berg. Both authors will introduce their ideas, then the group will be invited to turn the ideas into action. The session will be hosted by Derry Hannam, author of the book Another Way is Possible: Becoming a Democratic Teacher in a State School.
