Do you know an inspiring person who could be nominated for an award for International Mens Day in Portsmouth?

At Dadzclub they are committed to amplifying youth voices and fostering a culture of mentorship and positive role models.

To that end, Dadzclub are hosting an awards ceremony to celebrate International Men’s Day, and one of the key features will be recognising Inspirational Male Role Models within our community.

These individuals could range from teachers to administrators, students, volunteers or other notable figures in your school community who have made a significant positive impact.

We are particularly passionate about ensuring young males are represented at this event. To highlight the importance of youth voice, the ‘Young Inspiring Male’ award this year will be specially presented by members of the Youth Parliament.

The deadline for nominations is Tuesday 31st October, and the awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 23rd November.

“International Men’s Day celebrates worldwide the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities. We highlight positive role models and raise awareness of men’s well-being.

The UK themes for International Men’s Day 2023 are:

  • Zero Male Suicide
  • Making a positive difference to the wellbeing and lives of men and boys
  • Promoting a positive conversation about men, manhood and masculinity
  • Raising awareness and/or funds for charities supporting men and boys’ wellbeing

Portsmouth’s Official International Men’s Day event returns for its second year and is being organised by Dadzclub who want to do all that they can to promote positive male voices from our community that inspire and help others.

That is why on International Men’s Day they are hosting an inclusive event that brings people and organisations together to listen, share and inspire.

This year’s event will be held at the historic Treadgolds building, once an ironmonger’s workshop, it has now been lovingly renovated and yet retains its sense of historical significance whilst providing a bright and characterful venue.

Guests will be greeted with a drinks reception on arrival and will enjoy delicious food throughout the evening, whilst enjoying great music and connecting with local organisations and listening to a diverse range of Inspirational Speakers including TV presenter Nigel Clarke”.
