In the second section, explore what wildlife is native to the UK, how wildlife is under threat due to mass extinction and reflect on why we should care about protecting wildlife and biodiversity.
Next, you will look in more detail at the challenges affecting both the environment and wildlife and how they are linked. You will find out more about global challenges facing wildlife & the environment, including the climate crisis, as well as explore some smaller, local challenges caused directly by individuals actions that make things harder for the environment & wildlife to thrive and survive.
Finally, take some time to think about what you can do to help tackle the challenges the environment & wildlife are facing. Explore practical steps for making changes to benefit the environment & wildlife and find out about the work of UK organisations & charities that are fighting to protect the environment & wildlife, including the National Trust and Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts.
