Join Us as a Mentor for the Seed2030 Programme

We are seeking passionate One Young World Ambassadors to mentor the next generation of changemakers. As a mentor, you’ll support, guide, and share your experience with young people across Northern Ireland enrolled in the Seed2030 programme.

About Seed2030

The Seed2030 initiative awards ten young people (ages 14–25) in Northern Ireland micro-grants of £1,000 to develop or test their community, campaign, or business ideas aligned with one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Participants also attend a 2-day immersive leadership bootcamp in Belfast, then receive six months of mentorship from a One Young World Ambassador, alongside ongoing support from Unloc. 2 young people also get the chance to attend the One Young World Summit in Munich in 2025.

Mentor Commitment

  • Must be a member of the One Young World Ambassador community (from anywhere across the world)

  • Time commitment: approximately 3 hours over 6 months

We’re Looking for Mentors With Expertise In:

  • Building and operating advanced websites (user login systems, Google Maps API integration)

  • General web development

  • Marketing and growing social media presence for brands

  • Sustainable technology

  • Sustainable jewellery design and manufacturing

  • Thriving vintage/sustainable clothing brands

  • Events & events marketing – especially small-scale events and workshops

  • Food industry marketing

  • Taking a food or FMCG product (ideally plant-based) to market

  • Climate & sustainability knowledge or experience

  • Community Gardening or conservation experience
